Transportation Operation

School District vehicles will be used only for transporting children to or from school, between schools, for official school business and for scheduled activities and approved field trips. Only with the express approval of the Superintendent will any persons except employees be transported. School cars, buses or other vehicles will not be used for personal transportation of any employee of the District. Certain exceptions may be allowed by the Superintendent or as authorized by the Board.

Bus routes shall be established on the basis of need and safety of students riding the same. Such routes shall be on the regularly maintained roads under the jurisdiction of the city, state or county, and only when these roads do not, in the considered opinion of the Board, constitute a hazard to the buses or to the students. Certain road exceptions may be allowed by the Board.
