Student Mastery Achievement Goals

The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees sees the goal of providing equity of educational opportunity to all its students as a primary responsibility. This includes providing a strong underpinning of academic skills in this effort. This policy sets forth the goal expectations to have all of the District's students score at proficient levels on assessments of the State of Wyoming's essential learnings as defined by student performance and content standards in the Common Core of Knowledge and Common Core of Skills (W.S. 21-9- 101).

This policy directs the administrative team and certified staff of the District to submit to the Board at a Regular October Meeting, a District Action Plan to address the goals for the continuous high levels of performance or improvement for:

  1. Student Mastery of the State of Wyoming's essential learnings as identified by student performance and content standards in the Common Core of Knowledge and Common Core of Skills.
  2. Student attendance, student discipline, dropout rates and parent/ community involvement.

Proficiency of all students of the District on the State of Wyoming's essential learnings shall be evaluated through the District's Body of Evidence system (Chapters #6 & #31 of the State Board of Education Rules & Regulations, and (W.S. 21-2- 304 (a) (iii) & (iv))).

Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees acknowledges that the essential learnings identified by the State of Wyoming does not constitute the entirety of the District's educational programming. Rather, the Board emphasizes that the major portion of its educational programming is defined as an enhanced curriculum that is locally controlled.
