School District 25 Policy

Students are under the authority of teachers and administrators while in school or at school sponsored functions.
Teachers are responsible for supervising student behavior within their classrooms, and will perform corridor, lunchroom, playground, and other supervisory assignments when such supervision is deemed by the Principal, or his/ her designee, to be necessary for the safety and control of the students.
Established Board policies and building rules and regulations pertaining to student behavior shall be enforced by teachers in accordance with prescribed administrative procedures.
Discipline of students is primarily a responsibility of the teacher in charge. The teacher's disciplinary procedures must be consistent with the building administrative guidelines. The teacher may seek administrative help in cases where support is needed.
A student's academic grade shall not be lowered because of poor conduct.
