Policy 2015
Adopted: April 9, 1985
Legal Ref: W.S. 16-4-406 16-4-403 AGO August 3, 1973

The public is invited to attend all regular and special Board meetings and may be given time to voice opinions or problems.

The Board recognizes its responsibility to conduct the business of the District in an orderly manner and will therefore require controls for public presentations to the Board. A brief period for questions and comments from the audience may be held during each Board meeting. A person wishing to be heard by the Board will first be recognized by the Chairman. he/ she will then identify himself/herself and his/ her affiliation and proceed with his/ her comments as briefly as the subject permits. The Chairman is responsible for the orderly conduct of the meeting and will rule on such matters as the time to be allowed for public discussion, the appropriateness of the subject being presented and the suitability of the time for such presentation. The Board as a whole has the final decision in determining the appropriateness of all such rulings.

The Board may remove a person or group of persons who willfully disrupt a meeting. so as to render the orderly conduct of the meeting unfeasible. If order cannot be restored by removal of such person(s~ from the meeting room, the Board may recess the meeting and reconvene at another location. An individual(s) not responsible for disturbing the conduct of a meeting shall be readmitted to such meeting.
