School District 25 Policy
Adopted: April 9, 1985
The building Principal shall organize a building advisory committee with open membership of District patrons to give advice and counsel to the administration and instructional staff in planning, implementing, and maintaining educational programs in that building. The advisory committee shall meet a minimum of once a month during the time school is in session. The meetings are to be open to the public.
Officers for the advisory committee shall be elected by its membership and an agenda shall be prepared for each scheduled meeting and sent to the membership five (5) days prior to the meeting date. The agenda shall be prepared by the committee officers and school officials. Any recommendations or reports resulting from the investigation of such committees shall be advisory and will be submitted through the Principal to the Superintendent. In matters where action by the Board is deemed necessary by the Superintendent, he/ she will submit his/ her recommendations to the Board for its consideration.
